Hello everybody and welcome to the official launch of Autistic Blogger Reviews.
My name is George Harvey. You may know me from https://georgeharvey2015.wordpress.com where I write posts to help raise awareness of Autism. The blog has had great success with more than 1000 views, by 600+ people in over 25 different countries.
As well as being an Autism advocate, I also like writing customer reviews in my spare time. Doing this helps me enhance my critical and analysis skills. It’s also very refreshing to write about the things I have a lot of passion for: wrestling, animes, games, books, DVDs, etc. I can spend days – or sometimes weeks – writing long and detailed paragraphs about why I think something is a masterpiece or not. If just one person finds it helpful then it makes all the hard work I put in worth it.
A while back, however, I realised that the only people who get to see my reviews are the ones who randomly stumble across them on Amazon. Also, my profile there is a tad disorganised and not the best place to view them. That’s why, when I uploaded my 50th review, I decided to create this blog.
On this site, I hope to share what I’ve learnt about reviews with my readers, and showcase exactly what somebody with Autism is capable of as a professional and creative writer.
Here’s how things are going to work.
Instead of posting all 50 reviews at once – and potentially unnerving readers – I’ve decided to marathon their releases. Every week or so I will post 4 or 5 reviews in the order they were written. The first will be ‘Sword Art Online Part 1’, the second will be ‘Sword Art Online Part 2’, and so on until we reach my 50th post ‘Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor’. I won’t make any major edits to the reviews themselves. But I will give a small message before each one, explaining how high I ranked the product, my experience writing the review and how helpful customers found it overall. This will allow people the chance to read all of my reviews, whilst understanding my thought process and seeing how my writing has developed over two years. Once all 50 reviews have been released, then I will start posting new ones on an individual basis. If I find the time, I may also re-write older posts to see if I can make them better.
The first set of reviews will be released sometime next week. Keep in mind they were my earliest efforts, so they’ll be very short compared to later ones. I will also post regular updates on Facebook and LinkedIn whenever this site has new material, so nobody will miss a thing.
I hope you’ll enjoy ‘Autistic Blogger Reviews’ as much as you do my other blog. If you have any questions let me know in the comments – I’ll be happy to answer them. And as always, stay tuned.
